Job Summary
The Content Creator will aid instructors in creating and migrating content for online assessments. In this role, the student will create randomized engineering technology problems in an online assessment platform.
The successful candidate will be able to work with limited supervision, demonstrate trustworthiness by maintaining the confidentiality of course and assessment content, and be attentive to detail.
Job duties include:
- Creating new or modifying existing engineering technology assessment problem
- Inputting problems into online assessment platform
- Verifying accuracy and robustness of problems in online assessment platform
Working hours are flexible. This is a remote position.
Experience
Required:
- Strong background in quantitative disciplines, such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, & Technology
- Able to work 10 - 20 hours per week
- Ability to work independently
- Effective communication skills (written & verbal)
- Desire to learn and improve
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Ability to quickly learn new software
- Junior or Senior standing
Preferred:
- Experience with LaTeX
- Have passed ENGT 180/ENGR 130 or equivalent course with A or B

Professional Training Class Start Date: December 5, 2022
**Schedules will be assigned with start times between 7AM and 11AM PST and end times between 3:30PM and 8PM PST (start times 10AM and 2PM EST and end times 630PM and 11PM EST) Monday through Friday.**
Responsibilities:
- Delivers expertise by identifying and analyzing agent needs to offer solutions on Safeco products and services and provide education on self-service tools.
- Research policy, coverage and eligibility provisions
- Upholds our client care standards by achieving individual goals on call quality, handle time, adherence, first call resolution, and reliability
- Maintains and tracks accurate data in various computer systems.
- Associates degree in a business-related field or equivalent training preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months related work experience required; customer service experience or help desk preferred.
- Ability to review, record and organize information from a variety of departments.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and the capacity to multi-task in a structured work environment.
- Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information.
- Proficiency with computers is mandatory; Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft office.
- Must have a clear understanding of the organization`s policies, standards and procedures to guide customer interactions.
- Passing Proficiency Assessments is required.

- Manages an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
- Establishes action plan based on case facts, best practices, protocols, regulatory issues and available resources.
- Plans and conducts investigations of claims to confirm coverage and to determine liability, compensability and damages.
- Assesses policy coverage for submitted claims and notifies the insured of any issues; determines and establishes reserve requirements, adjusting reserves, as necessary, during the processing of the claim, refers claims to the subrogation group or Special Investigations Unit as appropriate.
- Assesses actual damages associated with claims and conducts negotiations, within assigned authority limits, to settle claims.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven interpersonal, analytical and negotiation abilities required.
- Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner, ability to build effective relationships.
- Bachelor`s degree or equivalent in addition to 1-year claims handling experience. Knowledge of legal liability, insurance coverage and medical terminology preferred.
- Licensing may be required in some states.
